To strengthen our growing transaction pipeline and analytical capabilities, Samira Advisors is looking to hire a highly motivated Intern to join our Vienna-based team.
During your internship, you will be supporting M&A and strategic advisory projects from early analysis through execution and closing.
This internship is offered in Q3 2026 (with some flexibility) and provides hands-on exposure to live M&A transactions.
Support existing and upcoming M&A transactions throughout the entire process, from kick-off to closing
Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations (industry analysis, strategic review, financial analysis)
Support the development of financial models for proposed M&A transactions
Assist with due diligence coordination and management
Support the preparation of sector research papers and other marketing initiatives
Contribute to the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and curious individual with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in corporate finance, technology, and venture-driven business models.
Is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field
Has a solid academic foundation in corporate finance and accounting
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Is comfortable working with Excel and has a strong willingness to further develop financial modelling skills
Has gained initial exposure to corporate finance, consulting, startups, or the technology sector through coursework, projects, student initiatives, or internships
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
A start-up atmosphere combined with the highest professional standards
Close and direct interaction with the management team
Hands-on exposure to live M&A transactions

With close to two years of experience in M&A advisory across Ljubljana and Vienna, Rok has worked on sell-side and buy-side mandates with a growing focus on the European tech sector. Along the way, he has developed a real interest in innovative technologies and a deep respect for the founders behind them.
What Rok enjoys most about this work is the people. He is genuinely curious about the journeys behind the businesses he works with, and is always up for a thought-provoking conversation that challenges his thinking, whether it is with a founder explaining their vision, an investor pushing back on a thesis, or a colleague debating an approach over coffee. Having studied in two countries and earned a double degree from SEB Ljubljana and Audencia’s Grande École programme in Nantes, he feels at home connecting with people from different backgrounds and languages.A quiet drive runs underneath all of it, Rok keeps chasing the version of himself he hopes to be ten years from now, knowing he will never quite catch up, and is happy to let that keep him moving.
Outside of work, Rok plays tennis, skis, and is generally up for any kind of sport. He likes to pick up a good book, enjoys a good glass of wine, and spends as much time as he can with family and close friends.
