Job type: Full-time (40h/week)

Location: Vienna

Starting date: April 2026 (or earlier by agreement)

To strengthen our growing transaction pipeline and analytical capabilities, Samira Advisors is looking to hire a highly motivated Associate to join our Vienna-based team.

As an Associate, you will work at the core of our advisory activities, supporting M&A and strategic advisory projects from early analysis through execution and closing.

You will collaborate closely with the managing partners and take on significant responsibility from day one.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing and prospective M&A and corporate finance transactions across allphases of the deal lifecycle

  • Prepare high-quality client materials, including investment memoranda, management presentations, pitch decks, and strategic analyses

  • Build and review detailed financial models for transaction scenarios (valuation, deal structuring, earn-outs, waterfalls, cap tables, etc.)

  • Conduct market, industry, and company research, including assessment of business models, technologies, and competitive landscapes

  • Coordinate and support due diligence processes, including data room management, information requests, and transaction documentation

  • Contribute to the development of sector insights, thought leadership pieces, and marketing initiatives

  • Actively support deal origination and business development activities

  • Guide and support interns and junior team members on project-related tasks

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and report directly to the managing partners

Your Profile

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical, and driven individual who is eager to take ownership and grow within a high-performing advisory environment.

You bring

  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, strategyconsulting, transaction advisory (Big 4), private equity/venture capital, or a related field

  • Strong foundation in corporate finance, accounting, and financial analysis

  • Advanced financial modeling skills and confidence working with complex transaction structures

  • Excellent analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly

  • Strong interest in technology-driven business models, digital markets, and innovation

  • Very good command of Excel and PowerPoint; hands-on experience with modern data management, CRM, and workflow automation tools, as well as research and intelligence platforms for lead generation, data enrichment, and campaign execution, is a strong plus.

  • Excellent academic track record, ideally from a leading European business or engineering university

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German as well as anyother European language is an advantage

  • A proactive, hands-on mindset and the ability to work independently in a small, high-impact team

Before joining Samira Advisors, he worked at REWE Inhouse Consulting, where he contributed to transformation projects across various business units. He also gained legal and analytical experience at a corporate law firm and co-founded a student initiative focused on consulting, finance, and entrepreneurship. 

Through his studies at WU Vienna, Sebastian combines his interests in sustainability and corporate restructuring, aiming to understand how companies can navigate crisis, transformation, and long-term value creation through a strategic and responsible lense.
